The proposed Tallawang Solar Farm comprises a solar and battery storage infrastructure located in the locality of Tallawang, NSW, and lies within the Mid-West Regional Council area.

The project is located approximately 8km northwest of Gulgong and is bounded by agricultural land.

The solar project is sited on 4 properties of approximately 1300 hectares of farmland, primarily utilised for cropping and grazing activities.

RES uses a GIS (Geospatial Information System) based search system to help identify potential solar farms sites. This highlight areas that meet our criteria for large, level ground that doesn't contain protected ecological areas, outside flood risk zones with road access that have suitable high voltage grid lines adjacent to the site.
